Tim Flannery is a renowned Australian zoologist, palaeontologist, and environmentalist who was named Australian of the Year in 2007 for his communication on climate change. Born in 1956, he has authored over 30 books, discovered dozens of new mammal species, and served as Australia's first Climate Commissioner.
