Ian Kershaw

Sir Ian Kershaw is a preeminent British historian born in 1943 who is widely regarded as the world's leading expert on Adolf Hitler and Nazi Germany. Originally trained as a medievalist, he shifted his focus in the 1970s to the social history of 20th-century Germany and was knighted in 2002 for his services to history.
